A Cleator Moor man who was found carrying a Stanley knife has been handed a suspended prison sentence.

Paul Drinkwater, 51, of Clayton Avenue, was committed to prison for 120 days, with the sentence suspended for two years by Workington magistrates.

The court heard Drinkwater had a Stanley knife on him without good reason at Wath Brow on October 16.

Drinkwater pleaded guilty and he must carry out 40 hours on unpaid work and 25 days of rehabilitation activity requirement.
