A 47-year-old man has been fined £600 after pleading guilty to three counts of drug possession.
Paul David Bates, of Wellington, near Seascale, appeared before North and West Cumbria Magistrates' Court.
Magistrates heard that on September 23 at Ponsonby, Bates was in possession of a quantity of diamorphine, for which he was fined £300, a quantity of cannabis for which he was fined £200 and a further £100 for possession of eight diazepam tablets.
All the drugs were ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
Bates was also told to pay £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
