Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team were called out to help two walkers stuck on High Scarth Crag, Scafell.
The team headed out just after 6.30pm last night to aid the walkers who’d become stuck on the hill after dark.
Their position was determined as being below Slight Side using coordinates from their phone.
A team then went on the fell to help escort them back to the valley, their 78th incident of the year.
Ten team members were involved and the incident was closed at 10.30pm.
This was a first test for the new radio repeater in Eskdale.
