Copeland Age and Advice Service (CAAS) today announced it is holding a formal launch event for their new service.

The event will take place at Cleator Moor Civic Hall next Monday, October 21 between 10am and 12pm.

CAAS launched its new not for profit, Social Enterprise on October 1, providing a home visiting service to anyone over the age of 55 in Copeland who require information, advice and guidance in relation to financial matters, housing issues and in enabling individuals to live safely and independently, wherever they choose.

Service’s include:

Benefit checks and assistance with making relevant benefit applications

Advice and help on money matters

Help to understand and access relevant Housing Options

A form filling service i.e. Blue Badge applications, grant applications, completion of housing forms etc.

Support with Independent living through an assessment of a client’s home in relation to the recommendation of relevant aids, equipment and adaptions.
