Meditation, aromatherapy massages and angel card reading will all be part of the offer at a holistic event next month.

Sacred Haven is holding the holistic mind, body and spirit event on October 6, with more than 45 local exhibitors.

Organiser Emma Summerfield said it was an opportunity for businesses to promote what they do as well as for people to find out what is available locally.

The event had previously been held at the Beacon Museum in Whitehaven, but had to relocate to larger premises at the Ennerdale Country House Hotel in Cleator due to its popularity.

Emma is a jewellery designer who owns Moon Dream Jewellery based in Cleator. She said: “I`m excited to bring the opportunity of experiencing the wonderful benefits of holistic therapies and approaches to local people, which address the whole person, including their physical, mental and emotional health, which I feel is absolutely key in our modern day demanding, stressful lifestyle.”

Emma added she saw a gap in the market for holistic events in West Cumbria and wanted her community to be able to benefit from them.

Exhibitors offer services including reflexology, animal holistic care, tarot card readings, reiki healing, yoga, mindfulness and artisan crafts. Talks and workshops will run throughout the event, which takes place between 10am and 4pm.

Entry costs £3 and all proceeds go to Cash For Kids, which supports children in Cumbria. A raffle will also be held on the day.

Emma said: “At our event I feel privileged to be providing a great networking platform for holistic and spiritual businesses in our local area, whilst helping our amazing CFM Cash For Kids.”
