A MOTORIST caught with two different drugs in his system has been banned from driving.

He pleaded guilty to one charge of having 117µg/L of benzoylecgonine (a cocaine body-breakdown) in his system. The legal limit is 50µg/L.
Dowthwaite, 38, of Queen Street, Penrith, also pleaded guilty to having 8µg/L of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol in his blood. The legal limit for that drug, cannabis, is 2µg/L.
In addition to a 24-month driving ban, he was ordered to complete 90 hours' unpaid work, and must pay £90 to fund victim services and £85 costs.
