Whitehaven ramblers joined walkers from across the pond to show them the beauty of the Copeland coast.
For the last 25 years members of Whitehaven Rambling Club have accompanied walkers from the Sierra Club of America on the first two stages of the Wainwright Coast to Coast Walk - St Bees to Ennerdale then Ennerdale to Honister via Black Sail Hut.
Members of the club, which was formed in 1928, enjoy meeting with the Sierra Club to show visitors the area's impressive scenery.
The Coast to Coast Walk is one of the most popular walks in the country and thousands of people come from all over the world to enjoy the surroundings along the way.
The Sierra Club is a nature conservation organisation with many thousands of members throughout the USA, and was founded 1892 by Scotsman John Muir, who was also instrumental in establishing Yosemite National Park in California.
