Cyclists are gearing up for this year’s Tour de Moor.

The popular sportive, which starts and finishes in Cleator Moor, sees riders take in two different laps of the town, covering around 30 miles.

The route heads out to the coast before returning via Cold Fell to Cleator Moor. Riders will then make their way north across Dean Moor and through Ullock and Mockerkin to return to the finish.

Refreshments are provided at the start and finish along with a feed station at the half-way point.

Entry is £15, payable on the day.

The sportive is part of the West Coast Activity Festival, organised every year by West Coast Challenge Events.

The festival begins on Thursday evening, with the Cleator Moor 5K, which is followed by the Puddings and Prosecco ladies only sportive Friday evening.

On Saturday, events will be held in Cleator Moor Activity Centre which will include the Bootcamp Charity Team Challenge and the Phoenix Obstacle Challenge.
