MORE day tickets have been released for the indie rock festival Krankenhaus at Muncaster Castle this weekend.

British Sea Power, who are headlining and hosting the event, have agreed to release limited day tickets so revellers who do not want to stay for the full weekend can still take in music and spoken-word performances.

Krankenhaus is a unique musical festival as performances take place in a barn on the castle grounds. And dogs will be welcome at the festival, which runs from Friday September 6 until Sunday.

Muncaster Home Farm will host indie band British Sea Power – whose band members are originally from Cumbria but now based in Brighton – at least twice during the weekend. The band have found national fame with seven studio albums and music videos breaking 100,000 views on Vevo's YouTube channel.

They will be joined by Will Burns, Squid, Snapped Ankles and – for the DJ fans – Steve Davis and Kavus Torabi.

There will also be a literary tinge to Krankenhaus with poet laureate Simon Armitage and Stephen Morris.
