THE hard work of Millom School pupils was celebrated as they opened their GCSE results.
Katie Cullen and Jack Tallentire were among the top performers in Year 11.
Katie achieved the best results overall with six grades at grade nine and three grade eights.
She said: "I am completely overwhelmed with my results and couldn’t be happier with what I have achieved.
"None of it would have been possible without the amazing support from the students and staff during my time at Millom School."
Jack, who got five eights, said he was 'chuffed' with his results.
Aiming for a career in medicine, Jack will stay on at the school's sixth form.
Matt Savidge, the school's headteacher Matt Savidge said: “I am delighted to be celebrating our students GCSE results.
"It has been a great pleasure working with these students and they have been rewarded for their commitment and effort."
