RAIL operator Northern is offering train trips for as little as 10p next month.
To mark the launch of its new state-of-the-art trains on services across the country, and the withdrawal of its ageing Pacer trains, the company has launched a limited offer for passengers.
The discount only applies to journeys between September 1 and 30, and only on one of Northern’s advance purchase routes.
This includes services from Carlisle to: Harrogate, Hexham, Leeds, MetroCentre, Middlesbrough, Morpeth, Newcastle, Settle, Skipton and Sunderland.
David Brown, Northern’s managing director, said: “We want to celebrate the end of summer with an offer that gives thousands of people outstanding value travel.
“Tickets for 10p (5p for children) are available when booked in advance through the Northern website or app.
“No discount codes are needed, simply search for a journey and, if it’s on one of our advance purchase routes, you’ll be able to get the reduced rate.”
