A LORRY striking a railway bridge led to the closure of a key section of the diversion to avoid Victoria Bridge, in Kendal, which is currently shut for repairs.
Parkside Road was closed and blocked both ways following the incident this morning, leading to severe congesiton from Valley Drive to the A684 Singleton Park Road.
However, it has now re-opened in both directions.
