A WHITEHAVEN man was fined £350 for destroying a passport.
David Agnew, 35, of Basket Road, pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at the magistrates court in Workington on Friday.
The court heard that on December 12, Agnew destroyed the document to the value of £58.50 belonging to HM Queen Elisabeth II.
District Judge Gerald Chalk handed him the fine and ordered him to pay £85 costs and £35 victim surcharge.
