Employees from Sellafield Ltd, Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and Arup have raised £2,295.45 for mental health charity Mind West Cumbria.

From their office base in Workington, Mind offer a variety of services to support the local residents in Allerdale and Copeland suffering from mental health issues.

The event was organised by a group of young professionals who all work on the Infrastructure Strategic Alliance (ISA) a £1.1 billion contract which is a joint venture between Morgan Sindall Infrastructure and Arup working in partnership with Sellafield Ltd.

Held at Whitehaven AFC, the fundraiser began with a charity football match between members of the ISA team, followed by a race night. A raffle was also held, with a range of prizes.

The ISA is committed to developing the next generation of employees through their Young Professionals Network (YPN). The YPN enables young professionals to take part in activities outside of their usual role, to foster both their personal and professional development. The network also gives employees the opportunity to invest their time in charity and enrichment activities such as the fundraiser.

Hayley Musk, YPN member said: “Mental health awareness is more prevalent than ever before, and we are proud to be able to support a charity which is improving the wellbeing of people living in our area. Our donation will go towards providing essential mental health services. We would like to thank everyone who came to support our event.”
