Cumbrian accountancy firm Lamont Pridmore has won a prestigious award.

The firm, which has eight offices across the county, was named as the winner of the Independent Chartered Accountants and Tax Advisory Firm of the Year 2019 in the Leading Adviser Awards.

Organised by publication, Acquisition International, the awards recognise the contribution of professional advisers to business and the economy.

Graham Lamont, chief executive of Lamont Pridmore, said: “This is great recognition of the efforts of our entire team.

“We have a strong focus on acting as trusted advisors to our clients.”

Stuart Edger, managing director at Lamont Pridmore’s West Cumbria offices, added: “Businesses and entrepreneurs are crying out for advisory services and that is what we are delivering.

“It is great that this has been recognised by the judges.”

Chris Lamont, a partner and the managing director of the firm’s office in Carlisle, added: “We want our clients to derive as much value from our services as possible and it is wonderful that the judges have recognised our success in achieving this aim through the range of advisory services we offer.”

Karl Burrell, managing director at Lamont Pridmore’s Kendal office, added: “We know from our clients that going beyond preparing accounts and ensuring tax advice by offering true advisory services makes a real difference to them in realising their ambitions."
