CROWDS enjoyed a fun-filled afternoon in St Bees while raising money for charity at the same time.

Around 500 people gathered in St Bees School grounds for the sell-out Bees Bash, which raised money for a local family.

Lee Shackley, event organiser for after4 productions, said: “With the village fete not on for the first time in decades, the village needed a community event. I am extremely proud to be part of the local community coming together to put on a family day and raising money for a local good cause. There were many contributors that brought the day together at such short notice.”

There was live music from bands including Party Rockers, Zoe Warren, Jake McNicholas, SingStars, Amy Morton, George & Don.

Organisers thanked everybody who helped out during the day.
