An investigation has been launched after an assault in Penrith.
It happened between 8 pm and 8.30 pm, Sunday night on Duke Street.
A Cumbria police spokesman said: "The incident is reported to have involved two men.
"One of the men was with a woman at the time and the man on his own suffered minor injuries."
An officer explained: "The man on his own is described as being in his late 20s.
"The man with the woman is described as white, aged between 25 and 26-year-old. He is about 5ft 9ins of slim build with short brown hair and he was wearing jeans and a blueish top.
"The woman is described as white, between 20 and 26-year-old. She is about 5ft 5ins, with long hair that was tied back."
