How they met: They met in Walkabout in December 2012 on a night out and got together in April 2014.

Proposal: In Mexico in 2017 while on holiday.

Venue: St Giles Church, Great Orton.

Theme: A rustic theme. The couple made the table plan and the centrepieces themselves using the sign from Helena’s grandparents’ guesthouse; logs Helena’s dad had chopped up and old jars and milk bottles.

Bride’s outfit: The dress and veil were from Songbird in Keswick.

Hair & beauty: Faye and Becci from Craft Hair, Carlisle, did the hair and makeup was by Jessica Cant and Tessa Robinson.

Jewellery: The bride’s necklace and bracelet were given to her by her Nana Sue who had been given them by Helena’s late grandad for her 21st birthday.

Groomsmen: Tim Titcombe was best man. Ushers were Andrew Rickerby, the bride’s brother; Grant Fearon, Greg Pearson and Martin Forrest, all groom’s friends.

Bridesmaids: Victoria Ward, bride’s cousin and first friend, was maid of honour. Laura Collins, Joanne Irving and Sarah Irving, all bride’s cousins; and Abi Marston, bride’s brother’s girlfriend, were bridesmaids.

Flowers: Flowers and buttonholes were supplied by Rainbow Flowers, Wigton.

Transport: The bride travelled to church on her grandad’s Massey Ferguson 135 which her dad had been restoring. The bride and groom then travelled to the reception in their friend Jack Hogg’s decorated Audi A7.

Reception: A reception for 92 day guests and 150 evening guests was held at Greenhill Hotel, Wigton.

Favours: Personalised wooden name place settings and a bag of lemon drops.

Cake: A three-tier, semi-naked rustic cake supplied by Pink Petal Cake Company.

First dance: All of Me, John Legend. The couple also danced with their daughter Nellie in the afternoon to George Ezra’s Hold My Girl.

Entertainment: Glen Anderson provided outstanding entertainment from the afternoon to the early hours of the following morning.

Honeymoon: The Langdale Hotel, Ambleside.

Other details: The couple had booked their wedding in November 2017 and were delighted that their little girl Nellie who was born in January 2019 was able to join them on their special day. The bride is the daughter of Melanie and Alan Rickerby and the groom is the son of Neil and Wendy Fisher.
