Temporary traffic lights are causing rush hour delays in Carlisle this morning.
There are also reported delays in Longtown and Maryport.
In Carlisle, there are two sets of traffic lights in the west of the city that are resulting in tailbacks on Dalston road.
The first set is at the Cummersdale junction and the second neat to Dalston Hall Hotel.
Traffic is also heavier than normal on Brampton Road, near to the University of Cumbria campus, due to temporary traffic lights at Longlands Road.
In Longtown, sets on the A7 at English Street and Swan Street junction are causing delays.
In Maryport, there are two-way traffic lights in operation on the A594 Maryport to Dearham road.
