Rail passengers are warned to expected delays this morning due a broken down train south of Carlisle.
Virgin, Northern and Transpennine Express trains are all affected.
Passengers are warned that trains may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, diverted or even cancelled.
The problems are affecting many of the trains through Carlisle and Lockerbie, including those heading to London Euston, Glasgow Central, Manchester Airport, Birmingham New Street and Edinburgh.
The broken down train is between Wigan North Western and Preston, meaning the line towards Preston is blocked.
Rail replacement buses are being put in place to bypass this stretch.
The problems are expected to continue until at least 9.15am.
