Sending an offensive message and assaulting an emergency worker landed a Whitehaven man in court.
Lee Anthony Blinco, 33, of Lakeland Avenue, appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates' Court in Workington.
The court heard that, on April 21 this year, Blinco had sent a grossly offensive, indecent, obscene or menacing electronic message, contrary to the Communications Act 2003.
On the same date, the court was told, he assaulted a police sergeant.
Both offences happened in Whitehaven.
Blinco admitted both charges.
He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 surcharge.
