A woman has been left injured after a attack by an "out of control" dog.
Police are investigating a report of a bull mastiff-type dog attacking a woman in Workington on Sunday evening.
Officers were called about 6.20 pm to a field at the back of Chaucer Road.
The dog walker was walking her own dog at the time when an animal - described as a "dark tan-coloured dog" attacked her.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
A spokesman for the force said: "We're looking for witnesses, especially a man who assisted the injured woman, and a woman who was in the area at the time of the incident."
Anyone with information should contact police on 101
