Firefighters spent three hours tackling a fire at a farm near Wigton.
Six crews - from Carlisle east and west, Wigton, Aspatria, Penrith and Longtown - were called out to the blaze at Little Bampton, at about 12.45am today.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "It was a large fire that involved multiple vehicles and tyres. We managed to contain it with the help of multiple crews and the water bowser from Penrith."
There was no danger to the public, the spokesman added.
Firefighters used four hose reels, four breathing apparatus and a compressed air foam system to put out the fire.
