A Cleator Moor man who behaved violently was ordered to do unpaid work.
Robert Henry McDowell, 50, of Henry Street, admitted using or threatening unlawful violence following an incident on August 6.
McDowell, who appeared at the magistrates' court in Workington on Wednesday, was ordered to do 100 hours of unpaid work.
He must also pay £85 victim surcharge and £500 costs.
