The opening of Cockermouth's latest supermarket has been delayed but is due to take place in the summer.
The newest Lidl for West Cumbria had been due to open early this year.
A spokesman said: "Construction of our new store is progressing and we are expecting to open this summer.
"We've had a few construction obstacles to overcome, which have led to slight delays."
Demolition work began on the site off Station Road in January 2017.
The first phase involved the building of a new WCF Pet & Equestrian site and car parking, which opened last July.
The former WCF store was then demolished and work started on the new Lidl store constructed.
The project is being delivered by Flimby-based contractors Thomas Armstrong.
The new Lidl will create up to 40 jobs.
