A COASTGUARD team have issued a warning to residents towards the dangers of picking up dated ordnance on the beach.
Millom Coastguard Team have issued a series of images highlighting what potential dangerous devices might look like when found on the beach, including mortar bombs, shells, torpedoes and anti-tank mines.
A spokesman said: "If you see anything that looks even slightly suspicious, do not approach it, or throw stones at it, just dial 999 and ask for Coastguard."
