A man has appeared in court accused of more than a dozen fraud offences connected to building work in West Cumbria.
Kevin Doyle, of Dunbeth Court, Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, faces nine charges of fraud by false representation, eight charges of engaging in a commercial practice which is a misleading omission and six charges of dishonestly failing to disclose information to make a gain.
The offences were said to have taken place between February 25, 2017, and December 20 last year in St Bees, Wigton, Maryport and Whitehaven.
Doyle appeared at the magistrates’ court in Workington yesterday where he was represented by Claire Kirkpatrick, while Jonathan Farnsworth represented the prosecution.
He was granted unconditional bail and is due to appear at Carlisle Crown Court on May 15.
