POLICE have launched an appeal after a taxi driver was attacked and robbed.
Officers from Police Scotland cordoned off part of Butts Street in Annan for several hours after a 42-year-old man sustained minor injuries in the incident, which occurred at about 5am on Saturday, April 6.
Detective Inspector William McDicken said: "This has been an unprovoked attack on a man simply doing his job, thankfully he was not seriously injured but he has been left deeply shocked after this ordeal.
"I would ask anyone that has any information about this attack to please contact police by calling 101, quoting reference number 0761."
