Polling will take place on Thursday, May 2 to choose town and parish councillors for the next four years.
Elections will take place in the Parton and Seascale parishes, and in Whitehaven Town Council's Corkickle North, Corkickle South, Hillcrest, Sneckyeat North, Sneckyeat South, Central North and Central South wards.
In other areas elections will not be required as there the number of people standing is equal to or fewer than the number of seats available.
