More than 100 campaigners from Cumbria took part in the Brexit march in London.

People from across the county travelled to London on Saturday to join a mass demonstration demanding a People’s Vote on Brexit.

More than one million people took part in the Put It To The People march.

Cockermouth man John Kelly, from the People's Vote Cumbria, said: "It was fantastic and a privilege to be among so many likeminded people all peacefully campaigning for their democratic right to be heard.

“Brexit is already causing deep damage to Britain, threatening local jobs, businesses, the NHS and living standards in Cumbria

“The only way to solve this political crisis is put whatever deal is decided by Parliament back to the British people and let them decide.”

The march started on Park Lane and made its way to Parliament Square for a mass rally and speeches.
