AN APPEAL has launched after a teenager suffered serious injuries to his head and face after an assault by three youths.
The incident occurred on Saturday, February 23 in the area of Ginns to Kells Road in Whitehaven at about 7.30pm.
Police say weapons were used to inflict injury to the teenager, and added that all those behind the assault were under the age of 18.
The three people involved have been arrested and interviewed by police, and the investigation continues.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or with information which may help with the investigation should call 101 and ask to speak to PC2636 Simpson.
