AIR AMBULANCE and police were called at the scene of a serious incident in West Cumbria.
Police confirmed they were called at around 1.30 to Castle Gardens, Workington.
A spokesman for the force said: "The incident involved a man suffering a serious medical episode. The road was closed whilst ambulance and Helimed attended the scene. The road has now reopened."
