A MARYPORT New Year's day drink-driver has been banned for 18 months.
Marc Anthony Hodge, 29, of Wallace Lane, pleaded guilty to drink-driving, driving uninsured and damaging a front door worth £150.
Hodge, who appeared at the magistrates court in Workington on Wednesday, was found with 65 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was driving along John Street in Maryport on January 1. The legal limit is 35.
As well as the ban, which could be reduced by 18 weeks if he successfully completes and drink-drivers rehabilitation course, Hodge was fined £370 and was ordered to pay £37 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
He was also ordered to pay £150 compensation for the damaged door.
