A housing developer has appealed against a decision by Allerdale council’s planning department in a long-running saga around a play area in Workington.
Persimmon homes was required to build the facility at its Forgehill estate, off Moss Bay Road, but did not comply with the approved plans.
A company spokesman said: “We have appealed against the refusal to allow the minor change in equipment on the site in order to meet EU safety regulations, and to enable the play area to be opened.”
