HADRIAN'S Wall has been shortlisted in the prestigious 2019 BBC Countryfile Awards.
The World Heritage Site is in the frame to win Landmark of the Year.
It is one of two places in the Cumbria to have made the shortlist, along with Cartmel which has been nominated for village of the year.
Nominations have been whittled down to a shortlist by a panel of judges, including presenter Charlotte Smith and Countryfile magazine editor Fergus Collins.
People are now urged to vote for their winners before Sunday.
Cumbria Tourism managing director Gill Haigh said: “We live in an amazing part of the country with wonderful places to visit in every corner of Cumbria. It’s no surprise to us that Cartmel and Hadrian’s Wall have been highlighted by Countryfile as potential winners, as both locations certainly deserve their place on the shortlist."
