West Cumbria has been hit with flood alerts and rail disruption as a result of Storm Erik.
Alerts have been issued for areas of the coast including; Gretna to Silloth to St. Bees Head to Millom and the North Morecambe Bay coast.
FloodAlerts Cumbria tweeted: "We are currently expecting the high tide in the early hours of tomorrow morning will also reach flood alert level."
The North Morecambe Bay Coast is expected to see high waves that may breach sea defences. This may lead to flooding of land and roads.
Water levels are also rising in lakes due to heavy rainfall. Flood warnings have been issued for lowlands and roads surrounding rivers; Lowther, Eamont, Duddon, Crake and Mill Beck as well as Ehen, Calder, Irt and Esk, Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwent Water
Braystones in Copeland looks to be one of the worst affected areas, particularly its lowlands and beaches.
A landslip between Parton and Harrington also caused disruption to the Cumbrian rail system. Trains were cancelled this morning on the Workington to Whitehaven line, the route was later reopened but trains were limited to a speed of 5mph.
