A landslide on the railway line between Whitehaven and Workington has caused all trains to be cancelled between the two stations.
Northern Rail confirmed the incident on the Northern Assist Twitter account.

Travellers have been informed that trains from these stations may be cancelled or delayed by at least an hour. Disruption is expected to continue until at least 11:30 this morning.
A replacement bus service has been issued for stranded passengers between Workington and Whitehaven.
The 9am train from St. Bees to Carlisle is unable to continue from Whitehaven, passengers are awaiting a bus to transport them to Workington for a replacement train.
