Family tributes have been paid to a man who died suddenly in Maryport recently.

He has been named as Thomas Ian Cameron, 25.

He was described by his family as "a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend to many."

They added: "While he was taken from us so young, we had twenty five wonderful years, and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.”“While he was taken from us so young, we had twenty five wonderful years, and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.”

Mr Cameron died in the Ellenborough area of Maryport.

Police were called to the scene just after 12 on the morning of Monday, January 28.

They confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances.

A service for Mr Cameron was held at St Mungo's Church in Dearham on Wednesday.

There was a large attendance of around 200 people.

The family requested that donations be made to Dearham Boys Brigade and MIND in lieu of flowers.
