Firefighters were called to pump water out of a flooded pub.
Two fire engines from Whitehaven responded to reports of flooding at a pub in Market Place, Whitehaven, at about 3.20pm yesterday.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "On arrival crews found the cellar of a public house to be flooded and flood water affecting a number of other properties nearby.
"Fire crews used a lightweight portable pump, main pump and two main jets to remove water from all affected properties."
Crews were at the scene for about four hours.
