Firefighters at the fire
FIREFIGHTERS were called to a Kendal home tonight after food left on the hob caught fire.
Two fire engines from Kendal were called by the homeowners on Low Fellside at around 5.30pm.
The residents turned off all the power and waited for crews to arrive.
A fire spokesman said crews were working to clear the kitchen of smoke.
