Valuable watches, a TV and a large quantity of 20p coins were stolen in a burglary in Parton.

Cumbria police are trying to trace the person or people who took the items, which included a 42-inch LG television and an antique Omega Speedmaster watch with a name engraved on the back.

The break-in happened at about 7am on Christmas Eve but officers have only just appealed for information.

The force said people in the local area saw a man carrying a flat screen TV at around 7am that morning.

Anyone with information regarding stolen property or the suspicious man is urged to call police on 101, quoting log 101 of December 24, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
