Carrying out an assault in the Maryport area has left a Workington man with a fine and a restraining order.
John Birkett, 36, of Cranbourne Street, stood trial at West Cumbria Magistrates Court in Workington after denying a single charge of assault.
He was found guilty by magistrates.
Birkett was given a restraining order banning him from entering a named street in a village near Maryport.
He was also ordered to pay a fine of £165, £620 costs and a £30 surcharge.
