WEST Cumberland Hospital have temporarily suspended visiting to one of its wards after an outbreak of norovirus.
Visiting to Ward 3 in Whitehaven is currently unavailable until further notice.
A spokesman from North Cumbria Hospitals Trust said: “If you feel your visit is essential please speak to the ward manager.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
Visitors to other wards at the hospital are reminded to wash their hands with soap and water for at least 30 seconds when they arrive and leave.
