THE annual locals' night at a pub near Cockermouth proved a big success and raised £1,200 for the town's mountain rescue team.
The owners of The Kirkstile Inn, Loweswater - Helen and Roger Humphreys - chose a different charity to support each year.
More than 70 people enjoyed a three-course meal, with the money they paid being donated to Cockermouth Mountain Rescue Team.
Member John Dempster, who attended, said: "It was a great evening. It's a great way to support the local community and we really appreciate their donation."
