Tony Hetherington from Egremont is getting the word out on local talent and raising awareness for mental health. From The View showcases music acts from around Cumbria and includes interviews with sports people.

Mr Hetherington records most of the shows from a makeshift recording studio in his conservatory. Featured musicians include Luke Matear; Logan Murphy who is performing on the local circuit at a young age; Springfield and Newton Smith. DJ Ratman has also been a guest on the show.

The Christmas special was recorded on Wednesday December 19, a showcase of local talent at Lowca Welfare Club. Acts like small Mercies; Goosey Tyson, Nat Dempsey and Springfield. Mr Hetherington recently interviewed Carl "Wammo" Walmsley, councillor for Mirehouse. "We talked about mental health in men" said Tony.

In the powerful and honest episode, Tony invited his wife onto the podcast to discuss how his battle with depression. Sports people have also been given a spotlight on the show; boxing prospects Gary Taylor and Alex Nicholson joined Tony on episode seven along with coach Dave Straughton.

Johnny Moss, coach of Moss Wrestling School in Egremont has also featured with his protege, 'Turbo' Josh Terry. Mr Moss is a familiar face on the British pro wrestling circuit who has since moved on to a coaching role at the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando. Josh Terry has also graduated to the big leagues, recently making his debut on WWE 205 Live.

A future podcast is now confirmed with Cumberland FA "to talk about grassroots football" said Mr Hetherington. "I'm trying to do a podcast showcase middle of next year, as many as I can that I had on the podcast, I want them to come back." Tony will interview each of them before they play a set, a similar event to the Christmas special.
