A Cumbrian hotel has been named as the best luxury destination for dogs.
Another Place, near Ullswater, picked up the accolade as part of the Pets Pyjamas Dog-Friendly Travel Awards.
Pets Pyjamas is a holiday company designed specifically for people looking for pet-friendly trips.
Award entrants were judged on criteria including their attitude to visiting dogs, how many dog-friendly rooms there were available and nearby dog-friendly attractions.
Another Place CEO Will Ashworth said: “For many of our guests a trip away wouldn’t be complete without bringing their dog. Another Place is all about helping our guests get outdoors and be active; balanced with eating and drinking well and relaxing, without compromising on comfort. We’re delighted to have been recognised for this award and to represent Cumbria, as a dog-friendly destination.”
Co-founder of PetsPyjamas Karen Hanton said: “Dogs are great at helping you unwind from the stresses of modern life and even as a solo traveller, you are never alone when they're around! Plus taking them away with you cancels out the added expense of kennel and boarding fees, so it's a win win.”
