Allerdale Borough Council has released the latest fly-tipping pictures of rubbish dumped in the area.

Rubbish was left at Workington, Silloth and even a cemetery layby at Maryport.

Anyone caught fly tipping can be fined up to £50,000 or even be sent to prison.

People can be prosecuted if fly tipped items can be traced back to them, even if they weren’t the person who dumped them.

If you spot any problems with litter, dog mess, fly tipping or graffiti, report it online to the council at www.allerdale.gov.uk/en/your-environment/cleaning-allerdale/

Alternatively fly-tipping can be reported to the council via the 'myAllerdale' app, where a photo of the waste can be uploaded. The app is available on the app store. Or it can be reported to customer services by calling 0303 123 1702

Household rubbish can be taken to Household Waste Recycling Centres around Cumbria which are managed by Cumbria County Council. Locations are on their website www.cumbria.gov.uk

Trade waste and vans should obtain a permit from the Cumbria County Council website to use the centres at www.cumbria.gov.uk/planning-environment/waste-management/permitscheme/default.asp
