FORESTRY equipment including 1,000 litres of diesel and CCTV cameras has been stolen from a site in Thirlmere.
The theft occurred overnight between November 22 and 23 at a United Utilities site at the north end of the reservoir.
Police believe 4x4 vehicles were used to steal the items, which belong to a forestry company.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: "The suspects removed a gate to gain access to the forest.
"A silver trailer, 1,000 litres of diesel, a generator, an assortment of tools and CCTV cameras have been taken."
Anyone with information about the incident should call 101, quoting log 40 of November 23, or make a report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
