FESTIVE fancies are on offer as visitors are set to flock to Whitehaven’s Christmas markets which will be held on the next two Saturdays.
Visitors – including Santa – will be able to indulge in a winter waffle from Blessings Bakery whilst browsing the goods on offer. Browsers can purchase a selection of toys, books, cosmetics, candles, local crafts, cakes and fruit from one of the 18 stalls.
Christmas carols will be aplenty as local group Singstars and pupils from St James’ Junior School will be performing for the crowds on December 8. Whitehaven Brass Band and St Begh’s Catholic Junior School will also be spreading festive cheer on December 15. Copeland Council will be running a best dressed stall contest to ramp up the Christmas competition on this date.
Free parking will be offered by Copeland Borough Council on both dates at The Ginns car park. For more information and to hire a stall email whitehavenmarket@copeland.gov.uk or call 01946 593014.
