Hundreds of pounds have been collected at coffee mornings held in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Visitors to Cleator Moor Library and Egremont Library enjoyed slices of home-baked cakes at events held to mark the annual fundraiser.
While Specsavers staff at Whitehaven raised £209 following their cake sale.
The store sold a selection of homemade baked treats to its customers in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
David Nicholson, store director at Specsavers Whitehaven, said: "Everyone in the store was excited for the chance to raise money for this fantastic charity, all while treating our customers with a wonderful variety of cakes and snacks.
"Each year Macmillan helps millions of people and anyone who has been affected by cancer understands what a special charity Macmillan is."
In 2016 the campaign raised more than £27m for the charity.
